Healthcare’s Digital Quotient

In tracking the progress of digital transformations across
industries, McKinsey and Company recently posted a
scorecard in which various industries were assessed a
digital quotient.

McKinsey proved to be a strict grader with no industry
garnering better than 50 out of a possible 100 points,
suggesting that all industries are more-or-less in the
relatively early stages of their respective digital
transformations. Travel and hospitality had a digital
quotient of 46 (relatively high), while the public sector
mustered only a 22 (relatively low).

Even with digital quotients being benchmarked on this
steep curve, pharma and medical technology hardly made
the grade. McKinsey and Company handed out a lackluster
